We are happy to announce that Dr. Shireman has achieved her SMART certification! (www.thesmartchoice.com) This certification ensures that our office is up-to-date in safe mercury removal and staff is well-trained so patients should feel comfortable having their amalgams removed here.  In addition to removing amalgams safely, we safely dispose of the mercury-contaminated water and particulate and keep it out of the public water supply.

I am pleased to announce that I will be moving forward with the accreditation process for the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT).  This process will take a little over a year and ensure that our amalgam removal methods are safe for patients and staff.  There are only 168 accredited dentists in the United States and I am happy to become one of them.
